Remember your school days? If you do then you also remember doing home work before going to school the next day. It was that regular home work which enabled you to pass your exams with flying colors and qualify for better things in life.
An average person spends ten to twelve years in school, another three to five years college learning the basic skills with which to earn living. Further, usually there is on job training or some people continue their education to specialize in a particular field. This years of sustained training enables a person to earn an income.
Whereas you ask most people investing in stock markets how much time they had spent learning about stock market or the stocks or companies they are investing their hard earned money and you will be surprised. Not many investors do their home work when it comes to stock picking or investing in mutual funds. No wonder most people end up losing money in the stock market, although only a few brave ones will admit it.
I am not suggesting that you can not make money in the stock market, all I am saying is that you need to spend a little of your time learning the basics of stock market investing before you put in your hard earned money into it.
In fact I am of the firm belief that stock market are the best place to invest your money in if you have any spare cash rather than putting it into any other kind of savings because historically the returns from the stock investments have been much more than in any other form of investment. I find it a waste to put my money in a savings account or a fixed income account in a bank. That is like making the best player of your team sit on the sidelines while you are getting behind in the game.
So if you have any spare cash and keen on getting great returns on it this is the place for you. I suggest you go through the site systematically and familiarize yourself with the basics of stock market and investing. |
