Hindustan Petroleum Corporation forms CREDA - HPCL Biofuels In association with CREDA Hindustan Petroleum Corporation has formed a subsidiary company i.e. CREDA - HPCL Biofuels in association with Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) constituted for the development of renewable energy sources in the state of Chhattisgarh for the purpose of cultivation of Jatropha Plants for the production of bio-diesel. Hindustan Construction bags new contracts worth Rs 1688.28 crore From Government of Andhra Pradesh, irrigation & CAD department Hindustan Construction Company has received two new contracts aggregating to Rs 1688.28 crore from Government of Andhra Pradesh, irrigation and CAD department. HCC-MEIL-BHEL joint venture i.e. Hindustan Construction, Megha Engineering & Infrastructure and Bharat Heavy Electricals has been awarded a contract for investigation, designs and execution of lift irrigation scheme for drawal / lifting of 88.24 TMC of water from mid manar to new reservoir at Ananthagiri village, Illanthakunta Mandal, Karimnagar District (PCLIS-package - 10) from Government of Andhra Pradesh, irrigation and CAD department. The value of the contract is Rs 1926 crore. The company's share in the total value of the contract is 51% i.e. Rs 983.28 crore. HCC-SEW-MEIL-AAG joint venture i.e. Hindustan Construction, SEW Infrastructure, Megha Engineering & Infrastructure and Andriti AG has been awarded a contract for construction of J. Chokka Rao Devadula lift irrigation scheme: phase-III, package no III from Government of Andhra Pradesh, irrigation and CAD department. The value of the contract is Rs 1410 crore. The company's share in the total value of the contract is 50% i.e. Rs 705 crore.

Lupin allots shares Under stock option plans The committee of Lupin has allotted 4,95,938 fully paid up equity shares of Rs 10 each. 6450 shares issued upon exercising the options granted to employees under the stock option plans of the company. 489488 shares issued upon conversion of zero coupon FCCB issued by the company. In view of the above, the issued and paid up capital of the company increased to Rs 827,903,440 consisting 82,790,344 equity shares of Rs 10 each. This was decided at the committee meeting held on 17 October 2008.
